As I continuously write and write and write. I am always submitting my work to contests in hopes of publication or reward. Well, this December I had my first poem officially published. I did not win the overall contest I had submitted for, for a grand total of $500 but I did get to be part of an anthology.

I am very grateful to have been published. In addition, I have another poem coming out in another anthology in the new year. “Of Love and Dedication” is getting published by the National High School Poetry Contest and is set to be released in January. It is described as “A meaningful study of love and loyalty based on poems written by teenagers… which explores how today’s teens approach various types of love and loyalty issues”. There is no public site I can find to link but when it comes out I will update.
